Ginger Royal grew up in Hawaii and currently resides in Kailua. She has traveled extensively spanning India, Europe, Brazil, Turkey, Greece/Crete, New Zealand, Thailand, Scotland, Japan, and the Polynesian islands to name a few. She brings those experiences into her art work and continues to seek the cultural and social stimuli traveling provides. She is an avid reader, loves home decorating (including re-constructing every part of her house), and has been involved with Iona Contemporary Dance Theatre in various capacities for the past 6 years. Ginger is a BFA graduate of the University of Hawaii. Painting is the integral passion of her life force, and her current project is making costumes/art with recycled materials as well as tile and mosaic art. She teaches in both public and private schools and continues to integrate her talents in projects that address global social issues.
